Shirt / Dress? 0_O

(shirt H&M, beanie Calvin Klein, jewelery thrifted , boots Bamboo, watch Seiko, bag vintage)

I had to be reassured by my BFF Ayee all the possible ways I could outfit this shirt. While in line ME: "Hurry quick what will go with this shirt?! AYEE: " you could wear it with boots, sandals, shorts, tights, jeans". I am pretty sure there was more that she added on as I made my way to purchase it. It's hard to label "it" because of the length, is it a shirt or a dress? My fave thing about this is the proportions.I've been layering this shirt lately throwing on sweaters over, which creates a tail draping. Ohhh the manny possibilities of this shirt/ dress? 0_O ( Excuse my funky hair strands)

Yellow Tights

I can not get over how yellow tights are worked into their outfits. I hardly see anyone rocking the yellow tights and I think that these fits give justification, that when worn right it can be pulled off. Yellow is such a bright color but when pairing it with neutrals such as black or simple patterns it doesn't seem overwhelming to the eye.

The first outfit is a perfect balance. Wearing shades of taupe and still working in other bright solid colors without overdoing it. The electric Chanel purse is a perfect touch to the yellow tights combo. Kirsten Dunst and Tao Okamoto pair their tights with black dresses and brown boots. The street styler is my favorite approach to pulling off the yellow tights. She wears a floral frock with an over-sized gray cardigan and still manages to accessorize with earrings and a gold medallion like necklace. Her purse adds a vintage feel her fit. The last photo, the street styler sticks to different shades of blue. She doesn't have a lot going on with her ensemble keeping it simple but sweet!

I think I'll be obsessing over this look for days! I have yellow tights that I wore once from a bumble bee costume and didn't throw them out thinking they would come in handy. Bumble Bee costume = Fashionable minus wings and black & yellow stripes!

Wellies

How Kate Moss and Rachel Bilson wear their wellies

Brits in wellies (Pixie Geldof and Daisy Lowe)

Babies in wellies

I NEED wellies especially when it's pouring rain and none of my boots are appropriate to wear during this weather. I am not a happy camper when my socks are soaking wet. Wellies would help me conquer any puddle that comes my way. If only I could purchase those Jimmy Choo for Hunter crocodile-embossed wellington boots.

Denim and Lace

Here's to my lace obsession. Denim and lace combo is like my iced coffee and blueberry scone, they're a perfect pair! I'm loving how the brown leather belt is used as an accent in all four outfits.

Hand me down

( skirt and top hand me downs from mother, belt vintage headband H&M, combat boots Buffalo Exchange)

Mother put all her old clothes that were cluttering her closet in a big bag and I ransacked through it and found goodies, including this mid drift top and high waisted skirt. If only she didn't give away all other awesome dresses and heels! She had the raddest style!

OoOolala Ron Alan's a model! I liked his outfit ;)
( Volcolm stripped shirt, Urban Outfitters denim button up, Commune denim, shoes Nike)

Lacey Jah Jah

(lace dress vintage, belt brighton, earrings from a boutique, sheer tights courtesy of Jaydee, rings thrift stores)

My lovely night was spent devouring all-you-can-eat sushi with my outrageous family, fake birthdays= fried tempura green tea ice cream cake (DELISSSH!). Attending real birthdays with Jaydee = Mojitos, catching up with old high school friends and more cake!!

I can not get over Kate Bosworth's genius idea of a headband! The black jewels are intense.

Janey Rose

(why yes I am thrifted from head to toe [well not my head] but the shirt, floral shorts, boots and bag)

The day consisted of frolicking on the sandy shores of Long Beach taking pictures with Big sis Jane who has just moved back from London town (whoohoo! BFF/next door roomie is bizzack!!) and lil sis Jill Rose a.k.a Lil J. We wandered around LB thrifting, our fave thing to do. Then we took a trip to Buffalo Exchange hoping to score but failed miserably. I can't believe how many items of clothing we had, some of the things I used to wear in high school I would definitely not wear now. I thought matching from head to toe, including matching eyeshadow was cool! Although Buffalo Exchange did not end up taking a bunch of my items it's good to know that certain thrift stores take donations and what is useless to me may be valuable to another.I guess the saying goes "One man's trash may be another man's treasure"

I thought it'd be genius to coordinate our outfits. My outfit: a holey black sweater and floral shorts. I am pretty sure I have been wearing this black sweater 3 times this week to different events. My boots were from my friend's (Ashills) garage sale. I do not care that these black boots are beaten up to the max! But I will not stop wearing them until they fall apart completely! Jane is wearing a Zara floral pocket tee, denim shorts from Topshop paired with stockings from Uniqlo, and River Island combat lace ups which she scored in London. Lil J wore an over-sized V neck by Ann Taylor, boots by Nicole, snake ring Lucky Brand.

Ninja fighting gone wrong

(grandmama"s cardiganEddie Bauer, gray bootsChinese Laundry, top thrift store, ram necklaceforever21, beaded necklaces gift made by Elle)

Playing around with my sister Jane's Leica, using a star shaped cap of a bronzer.
R.I.P one of my favorite rings (shown in first picture above). It took it's last breath while I was ninja fighting Jane in a Japanese market Mitsuwa. Now I am in search of stone/rock looking rings, why must I break/lose my fave rings?!

Oversized Cardigans

The "QUEEN" of oversized cardigans

Diane Von Furstenberg (I'll take all three!)

I've been living in my selection of comfy cardigans and "Yes" they are all from various thrift stores. I even have two of them wandering in New York right about now, whom I lent to the adventurous L. Fritz to keep her warm from the snowing city.
